Goin' to the Chapel and we're gonna get married...
Like most young girls I spent countless hours dreaming about my Prince Charming. Who is he, what will he look like, how will my wedding be? These were the questions I asked. I never imagined a face - just the dreamy feeling of being in love and waltzing on air. I knew God had a plan for me and I knew it would take a special man to handle my larger than life personality. God sure did not disappoint (does he ever?). In March of 2008 God brought in to my life the most amazing man I have ever known. A man who showed me what unconditional love truly means. Then, in June 2010, this is amazing man made my dreams come true and asked me to be his wife. I gleefully said yes and thus began a year long journey to matrimony. Wedding planning is not for the feint of heart. It is exhausting and expensive and at times the biggest headache you will ever have. However, it is also fun, exciting, emotional and one of the fondest memories you will ever have. I was hugely blessed to have an amazing mother and friend willing to take on the challenge of creating the wedding of my dreams. The two bridal angels as I like to call them, spent countless hours burried underneath a mountain of D.I.Y. projects, etc. Countless emails, phone calls, text messages later the end result was more then I could have ever hoped for. The wedding was perfect. There is no other word to describe it. All was as it should be and I knew that I had nothing to worry about as my family took control and made everything perfect and seamless. From handmade centerpieces and pillows, to homemade food and cupcakes, a familial personal touch was on everything one saw. Surrounded by friends and family my handsome husband (I can't stop saying that) and I said "I DO" and spent a blissful evening celebrating. Now we start a new chapter and a new journey. I speak for both of us when I say we are beyond excited for this new stage in our lives. With friends and family by our sides and unconditional love for one another the future looks pretty stinking awesome! Pictures to come soon!!!

awwwwwww thanks girl! It was fun helping your mom and it really helped my future career!
ReplyDeleteLaurel and Michael, I LOVED every minute of the wedding week, starting with the hot-gluing, going through bagging up cookies, sewing garters and Gus-Gus ties, and finally being there to help your incredible Mom get it all done. Harley even let me take a few pics with her camera of her and Adam on the dance floor. Tom and Chris both really enjoyed being on kitchen duty - it was a "bonding" time for them! You and Michael looked so happy. God bless you both!!
